6.0-Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Pacific Ocean

An earthquake measuring magnitude 6.0 struck the North Pacific Ocean today, January 16, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) said. The tremor occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km, increasing the possibility of aftershocks. In a post on “X,” NCS shared the coordinates as latitude 43.79°N and longitude 127.98°W, confirming the offshore location.
