Sabarimala Temple Closes After Mandala Deeksha, Reopens For Makara Vilakku

Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple has closed after the Mandala Deeksha season, following the Mandala Puja. It will remain closed until December 29 and reopen on December 30 at 5 PM for the Makara Vilakku season. This year, 3,239,756 devotees visited the temple, an increase from last year’s 2,842,447, with large crowds expected during the Makara Vilakku festival.
