Parliament Spent Under 30% Time On Lawmaking In 2025

Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha spent under 30% of time on legislative business in 2025, PRS Legislative Research said. Parliament passed 31 bills, including waqf and income tax changes, banned online money games, opened nuclear and insurance sectors, and amended MGNREGA. Of 43 bills introduced, only 11 went to committees, with one to a standing committee.
