Karnataka Ex-CM SM Krishna Passes Away

Veteran politician SM Krishna, former Karnataka CM (1999-2004) and Maharashtra Governor (2004-2008), passed away at 92 after prolonged illness. He joined BJP in 2017, ending his long Congress association. Krishna also served as External Affairs Minister from 2009-2012. In 2023, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan for his contributions to public affairs and retired from active politics last year.
