93 Years Of Valor: IAF Marks Foundation Day With Pride

The Indian Air Force is celebrating its 93rd Foundation Day today. Established on October 8, 1932, it was originally called the Royal Indian Air Force during British rule, with ‘Royal’ dropped after India became a Republic in 1950. Its motto, “Touch the Sky with Glory,” is inspired by Chapter 11 of the Bhagavad Gita.
