The Maharashtra govt has proposed relocating 50 leopards to the Vantara rehabilitation center in Jamnagar, Gujarat, owned by the Ambani Group. The proposal seeks approval from the Central Zoo Authority and involves leopards rescued and housed in state centers. Measures to manage human-leopard conflict and birth-control proposals are also being implemented.
