Centre Grants Extra 10% Commercial LPG To All States, UTs

Amid an LPG shortage caused by the US-Israel-Iran conflict, the govt offered all states and UTs an additional 10% commercial LPG allocation, tied to aiding the transition to PNG. Sujata Sharma of the Petroleum Ministry detailed extra allocations: 1% for CGD committees, 2% for permissions, 3% for the ‘Dig and Restore’ scheme, and 4% for reduced lease charges.
