3-Layer Security Deployed At EVM Rooms In Assam

The Election Commission (EC) has enforced a strict three-tier high-level security system at all EVM strong rooms in Assam. Vote counting for the Assam Assembly Poll 2026 began at 8 am across 40 EVM counting centres covering all 126 constituencies. The BJP and Congress remain key contenders, while All India United Democratic Front plays a smaller role.
