The Bombay High Court will hear in December a petition filed by 85-year-old actor Amol Palekar in 2016, seeking protection of artistic freedom. He claims rules mandating pre-censorship of play scripts infringe this right. Palekar’s counsel urged the court to deliver a clear verdict, positive or negative, after the decade-long wait.
