The UGC has revealed 32 fake universities operating in 12 states and union territories. Delhi leads with 12, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 4. Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Puducherry, Bengal, and Karnataka have two each, while Haryana, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan have one each. Students are warned to exercise caution and verify institutions carefully.
