Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu criticized the BJP over the controversy surrounding the allocation of space for a memorial for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He accused the party of playing politics and questioned how the BJP would have reacted if Atal Bihari Vajpayee hadn’t been given a memorial at Rajghat.
