A total of 114 drivers of tourist and private vehicles stranded in Lachen, North Sikkim, due to a road breach have been rescued, officials said today. The vehicles were also moved out safely following coordinated efforts by authorities. The evacuation marks the successful completion of a difficult rescue operation in the remote mountainous region.
