The Bombay High Court quashed Bank of India’s decision to label Naresh Goyal’s account as “fraud,” striking down related actions. Arrested in 2023 for allegedly laundering ₹538 crore from Jet Airways loans, Goyal got interim bail in May 2024 citing his wife’s cancer treatment. After her death, his counsel sought bail extensions for his own cancer care.
