Hyderabad and several districts in Telangana faced intense heat on Friday, with temperatures reaching up to 38°C in the city and 40–41°C in some areas. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms from March 15 to 19. Rain and strong storms may start from Sunday across parts of the state.
