Sri Lanka has declared a nationwide emergency after severe floods caused major destruction. The government says this will help speed up rescue and relief work by deploying troops, police, health workers and officials quickly. Cyclone Ditwah has moved away, but heavy rain and strong winds continue. So far, 123 people are confirmed dead and many remain missing.
