GST Council Exempts President Murmu’s Car From 40% Tax

A new car worth ₹3.66 crore will be added to President Droupadi Murmu’s convoy. As part of security protocol, only bulletproof vehicles are used. Although premium cars attract 40% GST under the new rates, the GST Council has proposed a special exemption, zero GST, considering the vehicle a national asset required for the President’s official use.
