The first phase of Gram Panchayat polls in Telangana ended peacefully, barring minor violent incidents. Those standing in queues will have the opportunity to vote for next hour. In this 1st phase, polls were held for a total of 3,834 sarpanch and 27,628 ward members. Polling began at 7 am and ended at 1 pm. However, the counting of votes will begin shortly.
