Mumbai Begins Demolition Of Historic Elphinstone Bridge

Demolition of Mumbai’s century-old Elphinstone Road Over Bridge began to make way for a modern double-decker structure under the Sewri-Worli Elevated Connector project. The new bridge will feature 2+2 lanes on both levels, improving east-west connectivity. A traffic management plan was issued to minimise disruption in areas like Dadar, Lower Parel, and Curry Road.
