Maharashtra Village Of 1,300 Logs 27,000 Birth-Death Records

The Maharashtra government has formed an SIT to investigate suspected irregularities after nearly 27,000 birth and death registrations were recorded in a village of just 1,300 people. The anomaly has raised fraud concerns over the CRS system. A criminal case has been filed, with field checks, IP log analysis and questioning ordered to identify those responsible.
