Bihar CM Nitish Kumar announced a stipend hike for anganwadi workers and helpers ahead of assembly polls. In a post on X, he said sevikas will now receive ₹9,000, up from ₹7,000. Over 1.2 lakh workers across the state are expected to benefit from this populist move by the government. Oppositions are condemning his act and calling it an election stunt.
