Karnataka Urges SC To Cancel Darshan’s Interim Bail

The Karnataka government filed an SLP in the Supreme Court against interim bail granted to actor Darshan in the Renukaswamy murder case. Arrested in June alongside 15 others, Darshan allegedly tortured and killed the victim over obscene messages to co-accused Pavithra Gowda. The state contests his bail, granted for spine surgery, citing the crime’s severity. A hearing is awaited.
