Punjab CM’s Residence To Get Car Scanner Amid Security Concerns

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s residence in Chandigarh will soon get an underbody car scanner amid security concerns. The high-tech Under Vehicle Surveillance System, costing ₹50 lakh to ₹1 crore, will replace manual checks with handheld mirrors. Despite financial constraints, funds will come from the police modernization budget, which earmarked ₹426 crore last year.
