4.2 Magnitude Earthquake Hits North-Central Assam, No Casualties Reported

An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 struck the north-central part of Assam on Sunday at 7:47 AM. According to the National Center for Seismology, the quake occurred in Udalguri district on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra River, at a depth of 15 km and approximately 105 km north of Guwahati. So far, there have been no reports of casualties or damage to property.
