Sikkim Landslides: 1,300 Tourists Evacuated Safely

Over 1,000 tourists stranded in Lachen, North Sikkim, since April 5 were rescued after landslides cut off road access. The evacuation of 1,321 tourists and 84 locals was coordinated by the Army, BRO, local authorities, and tourism stakeholders, transferring them safely via buses and vehicles to Chungthang and onward to Gangtok.
