Indian Oil Corporation said there is no overall shortage of petrol and diesel, with outages at a few outlets being localised and temporary. It attributed disruptions to demand-supply mismatches, seasonal diesel demand, and shifting sales patterns. The IOC assured adequate stocks nationwide, saying only a small number of its 42,000 outlets were affected.
