Fairness Cream Brand Fined ₹15 Lakh For Deceptive & Misleading Ad

The Central Delhi District Consumer Forum fined Emami Ltd ₹15 lakh for unfair trade practices related to its Fair and Handsome cream advertisement. A complainant claimed the product, purchased in 2013 for ₹79, failed to deliver the promised skin fairness. The Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, led by President Inder Jeet Singh, issued the order on Dec 9.
