Vande Mataram Debate Unfolds In Lok Sabha Today

PM Modi will open today’s Lok Sabha debate on the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram,” expected to highlight lesser-known aspects of India’s national song. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress deputy leader Gaurav Gogoi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and MPs will follow. The debate is part of year-long celebrations marking the poem by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee.
