Katra Shuts For 5th Day Against Ropeway Project In J&K

Katra, the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage base camp in J&K, remained shut for the fifth day on Sunday in protest against a proposed ropeway project. Shops, businesses, and traffic remained suspended as part of the protest. BJP MLA Baldev Raj Sharma joined the protest and threatened a hunger strike if detainees weren’t released within 24 hours.
