Supreme Court To Hear Aravalli Dispute On Monday

The Supreme Court will hear on Monday a suo motu case on the Centre’s controversial redefinition of the Aravalli hills, amid fears it could allow mining in fragile zones. A three-judge bench will take up the matter. The court has stayed new mining leases, while the government asked ICFRE to identify additional no-mining areas across the Aravallis.
