Toll Plazas Across India To Go Digital-Only From April 1

Umashankar, Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, stated in an interview that the government has decided to completely discontinue cash payments at toll plazas. All toll gates on national highways will accept only FASTag or UPI payments from April 1, aiming to simplify highway travel while saving time, fuel, and money for commuters.
