Tamil Nadu Polls: CMI Gets 5 Seats From DMK

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) today allotted five seats to ally Communist Party of India (CPI) for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, ending prolonged talks. The decision was finalised at the party headquarters, Anna Arivalayam. In the 2021 elections, CPI had contested six seats. The state Assembly polls are scheduled to be held on April 23.
