EC Appoints Subrata Gupta As Special Observer For SIR

The Election Commission has named retired IAS officer Subrata Gupta as the Special Roll Observer for the SIR exercise in West Bengal. EC also appointed 12 IAS officers to observe the vital aspects of the electoral rolls as per the SIR. These observers will aid district election officers and electoral registration officers in implementing corrective measures.
