Malaysia Considers Social Media Ban For Children Under 16

Following Australia’s recent ban on social media use for children under 16, Malaysia is considering a similar move. Communications Minister Fahmi Fadil stated that the government is reviewing the impact of social media on children and aims to introduce regulations to protect minors. The Malaysian plan is expected to be implemented by Jan 2026.
