The Kerala Assembly paid tribute to late CPI(M) MLA Kanathil Jameela, who died of cancer last November. Leaders praised her work for women, marginalized communities, and social welfare in health and education. A two-minute silence was observed. Before becoming MLA in 2021, she served as Kozhikode District Panchayat president and had a long public service career.
