In Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, 48-year-old Shashi Ranjan Mishra allegedly slit the throats of his 11-year-old twin daughters, with a sharp weapon early Sunday. He then called police at 4:30 AM and confessed to the murders. Suffering from depression and suspecting his wife’s affair, Mishra was arrested. The bodies were sent for postmortem. Investigation is underway.
