The Supreme Court today refused petitions seeking an extension of the 6-month deadline for registering Waqf properties under the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025. It directed applicants to approach the Waqf Tribunal for relief. With the December 6 cut-off nearing, property-holders must now pursue remedies through the statutory mechanism provided by the amended law.
