Congress Suspends 16 Rebel Candidates Ahead Of Maharashtra Assembly Polls

The Congress party has suspended 16 candidates for six years ahead of the assembly polls in Maharashtra. The decision, taken by the party’s state president Nana Patole, comes as a result of the candidates’ rebellious actions. Notably, this move follows a statement by AICC Maharashtra in-charge Ramesh Chennithala, who emphasized that there would be no “friendly competition” in these polls.
