Sikkim authorities issued an avalanche alert for high-altitude areas of Gangtok and Pakyong. Avalanches may occur above 3,500 metres due to changing weather and heavy snowfall. Roads to Tsomgo Lake and Nathula are closed. Officials are monitoring conditions and advising people to follow updates and stay safe during the next 24 hours.
