In Tamil Nadu’s Tirunelveli district, a disabled Dalit man and an Odisha migrant worker were reportedly hacked to death by a gang in Perumpaththu village on March 2, in what police are treating as a caste‑linked attack. Five others, including members of the Other Backward Class, were injured. Several suspects have been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
