Bomb Blast In Moscow Claims Life Of Russian Nuclear Forces Chief

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of Russia’s Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Protection Troops, was killed in a bomb blast in Moscow. The bomb, hidden in an electric scooter, exploded outside an apartment building on Ryazansky Prospekt, located 7 km southeast of the Kremlin. Both Kirillov and his assistant died in the attack. Russia’s investigative committee has opened a criminal case.
