Former minister Gali Janardhan Reddy narrowly survived a shooting in Ballari following a dispute over a statue and banners. Gunmen, linked to MLA Bharat’s follower Satish Reddy, fired eight shots. Reddy escaped unhurt, but one person died in the crossfire. Satish Reddy, who was injured during the attack, was taken to hospital.
