At least 23 people died when a fire tore through a nightclub in Arpora, Goa, state police said. Ambulances and fire trucks rushed in as injured were transported to hospitals. The blaze has been extinguished and all bodies recovered. Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant ordered a formal inquiry into the tragedy. Efforts lasted through night promptly.
