A major fire was narrowly averted at the famous Srisailam pilgrimage site in the Nandyal district of AP when an AC short circuit sparked flames in a VIP cottage for devotees. Panic spread as smoke engulfed the area, but timely action by the fire brigade brought the blaze under control, which also preventing potential casualties and damage.
