Bombay HC Dismisses Petition Against Adani Power Contract

Bombay High Court dismissed a petition challenging a contract awarded by the Maharashtra govt to Adani Group for supplying renewable and thermal power. Court called the petition “unsubstantiated and reckless” and imposed a ₹50,000 fine on petitioner Shriraj Nageshwar Aepurwar. Aepurwar had claimed the contract violated his fundamental right to fair electricity supply at reasonable rates.
