India’s Russian Oil Imports See Sharp Decline

India’s oil imports from Russia experienced a significant decline in 2025, decreasing by 38% in value and 31% in volume compared to the previous year. According to data from the Commerce Ministry, crude imports fell to $3.55 billion from a record $5.8 billion in 2024. This decline represents the sharpest single-month drop in oil sourced from Russia.
