GHMC Issues Order To Close Meat Shops Today

Slaughterhouses and all meat shops under GHMC limits are ordered to remain closed today, Oct 2, in observance of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. These orders were issued based on the resolution of the Standing Committee under Section 533 (b) of the GHMC Act-1955. The steps will be taken to protect the sanctity of Gandhi Jayanti by monitoring with municipal staff.
