Centre Hikes Telangana IAS Cadre Strength To 218

The Centre has increased Telangana’s IAS cadre strength from 208 to 218 posts under the IAS (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Amendment Regulations, 2026, in consultation with the state government. The revised structure includes 119 senior duty posts, reserves for deputation and training, with 66 posts by promotion and 152 through direct recruitment.
