“Laapataa Ladies” Misses Out On 2025 Oscars Nomination

“Laapataa Ladies” (Lost Ladies), India’s official entry for the 2025 Oscars, has been excluded from the Best International Feature Film race. Directed by Kiran Rao, the film was announced as India’s contender in September 2024. However, after the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released the shortlists for the 97th Oscars, “Laapata Ladies” failed to make the cut, disappointing many fans.
