No Split In 1% Quota For Blind And Low Vision: Govt To Railways

The Social Justice Ministry told the Railway Board not to divide the 1% job quota for visually impaired people into separate 0.5% for blind and low vision. The ministry cited the RPwD Act, 2016, which treats “blindness and low vision” as one category. Railways must treat the quota as collective and indivisible, not as sub-reservations.
