“US Must Respect India’s Red Lines In Trade Negotiations”

EAM Jaishankar said any India-US trade deal must respect New Delhi’s “red lines,” amid tensions over Washington’s tariff policies. Speaking at the Kautilya Economic Enclave, he termed US tariffs “unfair and unjustified,” citing penalties on Indian goods and energy imports from Russia, while urging progress toward a balanced trade understanding.
